Nottingham Forest delivered another blow to Manchester City's faltering season, handing them a third consecutive Premier League defeat and deepening the gap between City and league leaders Arsenal.

The result continues a troubling run of form for Manchester City, whose struggles in domestic competition have become one of the most surprising storylines of the Premier League campaign so far. Three straight losses mark a significant slump for a side that has dominated English football in recent years.

Meanwhile, Arsenal extend their advantage at the top of the table, benefiting from City's continued difficulties. The title race is shifting, and City's ability to respond will define much of the season ahead.

Nottingham Forest, for their part, produced a result that underlines their own ambitions this term — beating one of the Premier League's most decorated sides is no small achievement, and it signals that Forest are very much a force to be reckoned with.
