The Football Association has charged Everton forward Martin Sherif with 61 alleged breaches of its betting rules, covering a 15-month period between November 2024 and February 2026.

Sherif, 20, is accused of placing 61 bets on football matches between 20 November, 2024, and 12 February, 2026, in violation of FA Rule E1.2.

The Liberia-born attacker joined Everton's youth academy in 2019 and began training alongside the first team in early 2025.

Loan spells at Rotherham and Port Vale

Sherif spent the first part of last season on loan at League One side Rotherham United, scoring twice in 10 appearances before being recalled in December following a run of injuries.

In February, he moved to Port Vale on loan for the rest of the campaign, contributing two goals in 17 League One outings — though Vale were ultimately relegated at the end of the season.
