Everton have secured the services of Christian Nørgaard from Arsenal on a two-year contract running until the end of June 2028, with the fee undisclosed.

The Toffees confirmed the deal in an official club statement on Wednesday, marking their fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

A leader with Premier League pedigree

Nørgaard arrives at Goodison Park with considerable experience, having earned 41 caps for Denmark and a Premier League winners' medal during his time with the Gunners.

The defensive midfielder is Everton's fourth summer acquisition, following the arrivals of Merlin Röhl, Tyrique George, and Hayden Hackney.

From Copenhagen to the top flight

Born in Copenhagen, Nørgaard began his professional career at 17 with Lyngby before a stint at Hamburger SV in Germany. He returned to Denmark in August 2013 to join Brøndby, where he captained the side and won multiple titles over five years.

A move to Fiorentina in Italy followed, before Nørgaard made the switch to Brentford — the club where he established himself as one of the Premier League's most reliable midfielders — prior to his spell at Arsenal.
