Ipswich Town came from behind to defeat 10-man Crystal Palace 3-2 at Selhurst Park on Saturday, securing their first Premier League away victory since April 2025.

Anan Khalaili gave the hosts an early lead in the 14th minute, converting from the edge of the box with the help of a deflection off an Ipswich defender. The Swedish winger's opener looked set to inspire Palace, but Ipswich responded with composure.

Emersonn levels, Davis strikes before half-time

Ipswich drew level in the 23rd minute through their first attempt of the afternoon — Leif Davis delivering a precise cross that Emersonn headed home with confidence.

Palace's afternoon took a damaging turn in the 34th minute when defender Axel Disasi received a straight red card for catching Jack Clarke on the shin with his studs, leaving the Eagles to play the remainder of the match with ten men.

Davis made his presence felt again just before the interval, planting a free header beyond Walter Benitez to give Gary O'Neil's side a half-time lead and the numerical advantage to exploit.

Strand Larsen equalises before Flemming strikes late

Crystal Palace refused to fold. Daichi Kamada picked out Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 75th minute, and the Norwegian striker held off Issa Diop before firing into the bottom-left corner to restore parity.

With the match seemingly heading for a share of the spoils, Ipswich snatched it in the 90th minute. A looping header struck the crossbar, and substitute Zian Flemming reacted fastest to bundle the ball over the line and seal a dramatic comeback victory.

The win ended a remarkable run of 32 Premier League matches — stretching all the way back to December 2001 — in which Ipswich had conceded first and failed to win. For O'Neil's side, it was a statement result.
