Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has applauded former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong for channelling resources into grassroots football and opening pathways for young players across the state to develop and pursue professional careers.

Foundation tournament draws official recognition

Governor Eno delivered his remarks during the closing ceremony of the second edition of the Troost-Ekong Foundation (TEF) Secondary Schools Football Tournament, held at the Uyo Township Stadium. He was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Sports, Elder Paul Bassey.

Through Bassey, the governor congratulated the Troost-Ekong Foundation on its successful collaboration with the Akwa Ibom State Football Association in staging the competition. He described the initiative as consistent with his administration's ARISE Agenda and its broader vision for human capacity development.
