Bundesliga club Hamburger SV have joined the race to sign Nigerian forward Terem Moffi from OGC Nice, adding fresh momentum to speculation over the striker's future this summer.

Moffi, 27, returned to Nice after spending the second half of last season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto. He has since been excluded from Nice's first-team squad — a clear signal that his departure is imminent.

Nice president Maurice Cohen has publicly acknowledged that Moffi is among the players the club is prepared to sell as they rebuild their roster ahead of the new campaign. With the transfer window set to close, an exit looks increasingly certain.

Hamburger SV and Beşiktaş circle the Super Eagles striker

According to reports, Hamburger SV are monitoring Moffi's situation and considering a move to strengthen their attacking line. The striker's extensive experience in Ligue 1 and his record as a consistent goalscorer have made him an appealing target for the German club.

Moffi has also attracted interest from Turkish Süper Lig outfit Beşiktaş. The Istanbul side are reportedly exploring a deal for the Nigerian as they look to reinforce their attack before the window shuts.

A career in need of a fresh start

Moffi joined Nice permanently from Lorient in 2023 following an initial loan spell. He has contributed important goals for Les Aiglons, though his progress at the club has been disrupted by injury.

Despite those setbacks, the Super Eagles forward remains highly regarded across Europe. With regular first-team football clearly unavailable at Nice, a move away from the Allianz Riviera appears to be the only path forward for the striker.
