Hull City Break Transfer Record to Sign Greece Goalkeeper Tzolakis

Hull City have shattered their own transfer record by signing Greece international goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis from Olympiacos on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old arrives at the newly promoted Premier League club for an undisclosed fee, though both parties have confirmed it surpasses the £13 million Hull paid Tottenham for Ryan Mason back in 2016.
A decorated career with Olympiacos
Tzolakis spent his entire senior career at Olympiacos, accumulating 131 appearances since his debut in 2020. During that time, he collected eight trophies, among them four Greek Super League titles and the historic 2023-24 UEFA Conference League crown.
Just a month after lifting European silverware with Olympiacos, he earned his first cap for the Greece national team against Malta. He has since gone on to represent his country nine times.
Eager for the Premier League stage
Tzolakis spoke with clear excitement about his move to England and the challenge of competing at the top level of English football.
