Kai Havertz has pushed back against Gary Lineker's dismissal of Germany's current national team, insisting external critics are not worth his attention as Germany prepare for their FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 tie against Paraguay.

Lineker, the former England striker, had described this Germany squad as among the weakest he had ever witnessed, but the Arsenal forward made it clear he had not even read the comments — and had no interest in doing so.
