Hull City Agree £22m Deal to Sign Everton Midfielder Tim Iroegbunam

Hull City have reached an agreement with Everton to sign midfielder Tim Iroegbunam in a deal worth up to £22m, with the 23-year-old set to travel to East Yorkshire to undergo a medical.
The initial fee is £13m, with a further £9m available through performance-related add-ons. Iroegbunam made the move to Everton from Aston Villa for £9m in 2024, and now looks set to depart Merseyside for the Championship side.
A busy window for both clubs
Iroegbunam would become Hull's 13th signing of a hectic summer transfer window, with the Tigers continuing negotiations over a separate loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo ahead of Tuesday night's deadline.
Everton are themselves operating at pace in the final stretch of the window. The club have already agreed a £65m sale of winger Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City, and are close to completing the arrival of Monaco striker Folarin Balogun.
Talks are also under way at Everton over potential moves for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish and Fulham defender Kenny Tete. However, hopes of a Richarlison return from Tottenham have faded — negotiations over the Brazilian's comeback to Merseyside have stalled and a deal is no longer expected to materialise.
