Sky Sports reports that the two clubs have held talks over the conditions of a possible deal, while the Daily Record indicates the newly-promoted Premier League side have already launched a bid. A concrete proposal, however, is yet to arrive at Celtic Park.

Celtic eye Egypt winger as Maeda replacement

Should Maeda depart, Celtic appear to have a replacement in mind. The club are reportedly pursuing Haissem Hassan, the 24-year-old Egypt winger who caught the eye with his performances at the World Cup.

Celtic are understood to be exploring the terms of a potential deal with La Liga 2 club Real Oviedo. The move appears to be gaining momentum after Real Oviedo manager Julian Calero signalled a willingness to let Hassan leave, suggesting the Spanish club intends to shift focus towards developing younger talent.

Rangers reshuffle continues

Across the city, Rangers are set to accelerate their summer overhaul this week. Vanja Dragojevic is expected to arrive, while Brazilian striker Danilo is set to leave the club. The Daily Record also reports that Rangers have been exploring a potential return for winger Vaclav Cerny.
