The Football Federation of Iran (FFIRI) has announced it will file an official complaint with FIFA over the travel restrictions imposed on the national team during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Under the terms of their US visas, Iran are permitted to enter the United States just one day before each match and must depart on the same day the game is played. The federation argues these conditions are incompatible with adequate match preparation and place Iran at a disadvantage compared to other participating nations.
