Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has urged his players to respond emphatically when his side travels to face Crystal Palace on Sunday, with the club desperate to arrest a damaging run of two successive defeats.

The week turned sour quickly for Bournemouth. A 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend was followed by a 3-2 loss to Fenerbahçe in the Champions League on Wednesday — leaving the club facing the prospect of heading into the international break having lost three straight matches.

Iraola on the need to react

Addressing the media before Sunday's fixture, Iraola reflected on how sharply fortunes can reverse within a single week. Only days ago, he said, the mood around the squad was upbeat and results were flowing in their favour.
