Joseph Arumala has completed a permanent transfer to Egyptian Premier League club Al Ittihad, leaving Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ikorodu City behind to embark on a new chapter in Alexandria.
The young striker made a swift impact at Ikorodu City after joining ahead of the 2025/26 season, netting 13 goals to establish himself as one of the standout forwards in the NPFL last campaign. His pace, direct running, and clinical finishing endeared him to the club's supporters in Lagos.
Despite Arumala's prolific contributions, Ikorodu City — known as the Oga Boys — fell short of continental qualification, finishing fourth in the league table. The forward's goals were not enough to carry the side into African competition.
