Kingsley Ehizibue Set to Leave Udinese as Contract Talks Collapse

Nigerian full-back Kingsley Ehizibue is on course to leave Udinese as a free agent, with contract renewal negotiations between the player and the Serie A club having reached a standstill.
Udinese had been eager to secure Ehizibue on a new deal running through to 2028, but talks have collapsed under the weight of unresolved salary demands, according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb. With his current contract expiring in three days, a last-minute agreement now looks unlikely.
Salary dispute proves decisive
The 30-year-old's wage expectations have been identified as the central sticking point, preventing both parties from reaching common ground. Unless a dramatic turnaround materialises before the deadline, Ehizibue will walk away from the Friuli-based club without compensation.
Ehizibue arrived at Udinese in the summer of 2022, making the move from Bundesliga club FC Köln. Over the past three seasons, he has established himself as a dependable presence in the squad, valued for his ability to play as both a right-back and a right wing-back.
European clubs monitoring his situation
With his availability as a free agent now looking almost certain, several clubs across Europe are reported to be keeping a close eye on Ehizibue's situation. An experienced defender who can operate across the defensive right flank at the top level, the Nigerian international is expected to attract considerable interest once he becomes available.
