KRC Genk Seal €10.5 Million Deal for Nigeria Striker Rafiu Durosinmi

KRC Genk have struck a deal with Italian side Pisa to sign Super Eagles forward Rafiu Durosinmi, in what will be the most expensive outgoing transfer in Pisa's history.

Transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio reports the agreement is worth €10.5 million in addition to performance-related bonuses. Pisa also negotiated a 10 percent sell-on clause, entitling the Italian club to a share of any future fee Durosinmi might command.

The deal eclipses Pisa's previous record sale — the departure of Lorenzo Lucca to Udinese in 2024 — making Durosinmi the most valuable player ever to leave the club.

A brief but eventful stay in Serie A

Durosinmi, 23, had only arrived at Pisa from Czech outfit Viktoria Plzeň during the January transfer window, giving him just half a season to make his mark in Serie A. Despite that limited time, he featured in 12 league matches for the Black and Blues, registering one goal and one assist.

He will now head to Belgium to join Genk ahead of the new campaign, embarking on the next stage of his career in the Jupiler Pro League.
