Leeds United are in advanced discussions with Harry Wilson ahead of his expected departure from Fulham as a free agent, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Wales international enjoyed the finest top-flight campaign of his career in 2025/26, contributing 10 goals and seven assists as one of the Premier League's most consistent performers. His contract at Fulham expires at the end of June, and no new deal has been agreed.
Competition from Champions League clubs
Leeds are not alone in pursuing Wilson. Aston Villa, who will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, and Everton have both been linked with the 29-year-old. Despite that heavyweight interest, Leeds — according to Jacobs — have held positive talks and believe they can persuade Wilson to join them at Elland Road.
It would not be the first time Leeds have tried to land Wilson. A move was understood to be close last summer before collapsing on the final day of the transfer window. The club will be eager to avoid a repeat of that frustration.
Wilson turns 30 in March, but his age has done little to reduce the queue of clubs monitoring his situation. Representatives are understood to be fielding approaches from multiple sides, meaning Leeds will need to move decisively to win the race.
Fulham face summer rebuild
For Fulham, Wilson's potential exit would represent a significant loss. The club already faces a period of transition following the departure of manager Marco Silva, who has left for Benfica. Losing their standout attacker of last season would add further disruption heading into the new campaign.
Leeds, meanwhile, are determined to strengthen after a promising return to the Premier League under manager Daniel Farke. Signing a proven top-flight wide player of Wilson's quality would send a clear message about the club's ambitions as they look to establish themselves at the highest level once more.
