Former Nigeria Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has sealed a free transfer to Hungarian champions Győri ETO FC, penning a one-year deal with the club managed by Efraín Juárez.
The 36-year-old arrives in Hungary after departing Cypriot club Aris Limassol, where he made 22 appearances last season, contributing two goals and one assist.
A career spanning Europe's top leagues
Balogun launched his professional career in Germany, turning out for Hannover, Werder Bremen, and Mainz before moving to England's top flight with Brighton & Hove Albion.
He also enjoyed two spells at Scottish giants Rangers, where he added significant silverware to his collection — winning the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish Cup, and the Scottish League Cup.
