Nigeria Super Eagles defender Abdullahi Bewene has committed his future to Czech top-flight club Baník Ostrava, penning a new five-year contract that ties him to the club until June 2031.
The deal ends any uncertainty surrounding the 21-year-old's future and cements his status at a club he has called home since his youth. Bewene came through Baník Ostrava's academy and B team before forcing his way into the first-team setup, where he has grown into one of the club's most reliable defensive options.
Club confident Bewene has more to give
Luděk Mikloško, head of the sports department, spoke enthusiastically about the young defender's trajectory when addressing the club's official website.
