Liverpool Table €115M Bid for Barcola with Mbaye Also in Their Sights

Liverpool have submitted a formal offer of €115 million to Paris Saint-Germain for winger Bradley Barcola as the Merseyside club push to reshape their squad ahead of the new season.

The bid, reported by TEAMtalk, comes after Liverpool initially approached PSG with a €100 million proposal earlier in the window. French outlet Foot01 had claimed the revised offer stood at €135 million, though TEAMtalk's figure of €115 million is considered the more accurate account of Liverpool's formal position.

Barcola and Mbaye both want out of PSG

Liverpool have identified Barcola as their primary target for the left-wing role. They are also pursuing his PSG teammate Ibrahim Mbaye, who would provide cover and competition on the right flank. Reports indicate the club have already reached agreements on personal terms with both players.

PSG opened negotiations by placing a £145 million price tag on Barcola before lowering their asking price to £125 million. Liverpool are understood to be prepared to go up to £120 million — meaning the gap between the two clubs has narrowed considerably, though a final agreement has yet to be reached.

Both Barcola and Mbaye are believed to be eager to make the move to the Premier League, with increased playing time among their key motivations. PSG notably left the pair out of recent matches against Aston Villa and RC Lens.

Ahead of PSG's Trophée des Champions defeat to RC Lens on Sunday, manager Luis Enrique addressed the situation with a pointed remark about squad harmony.
