City riding high, Porto equally impressive

Enzo Maresca's side arrive in confident mood, having won all three of their opening Premier League matches. The form of Erling Haaland will particularly concern Porto — the Norway striker has scored in each of his last two games, including the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Coventry City at the weekend, bringing his recent tally to three.

Porto are no slouches themselves. Francesco Farioli's team have been dominant in the Portuguese league this season, taking 15 points from five matches while scoring 11 goals and conceding just once. Familiar faces and fitness concerns

Several Porto players carry connections to English football. Centre back Jan Bednarek, formerly of Southampton and Aston Villa, features in Farioli's squad alongside ex-Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior and former Norwich City forward Borja Sainz. Despite their domestic excellence, Porto's recent European campaigns have ended in disappointment.
