Manchester United supporters made their frustrations with the club's ownership known on Sunday, staging a protest outside Old Trafford ahead of their Premier League fixture against Aston Villa.

A banner bearing the message "Owners out" was unfurled by fans before kick-off, the latest in a series of demonstrations directed at those running the club. A planned walkout in the 21st minute, however, did not materialise as organisers had hoped.

The protest reflects the ongoing unrest among a section of the United fanbase, who have grown increasingly vocal in their opposition to the current ownership.
