Martínez and Carrick Condemn Haaland Goal Decision as 'Injustice'

52 minutes ago·1 min

Lisandro Martínez has described the decision to allow Erling Haaland's winning goal for Manchester City against Manchester United as "an injustice," with former United captain Michael Carrick going further, calling the call "obvious" and plainly wrong.

The disputed goal handed Manchester City victory in the derby, leaving Manchester United furious at the officiating. Martínez, who was on the pitch for the match, made clear he felt the outcome had been tainted by a clear refereeing error.

Carrick, who enjoyed a distinguished career at Old Trafford, echoed those feelings in equally direct language, insisting the mistake was plain for all to see.
