Germany legend Lothar Matthäus has moved to quash speculation that Bayern Munich could part ways with Michael Olise this summer, insisting the club has absolutely no intention of selling the French winger.

Rumours linking Olise to Real Madrid have gathered momentum in recent weeks, with reports suggesting Kylian Mbappé has personally encouraged his international teammate to make the move to Spain. Matthäus, however, says those reports are falling on deaf ears in Munich.

Bayern's position is non-negotiable

Speaking to the German newspaper BILD, Matthäus acknowledged the allure of Real Madrid but was unequivocal about how Bayern view any potential approach. "Personally, I can understand someone wanting to play for Real Madrid. But Bayern won't even consider negotiating. The headlines will only make them laugh," he said.

The Bundesliga champions regard Olise as central to their long-term project. His contract runs until 2029 and contains no release clause, meaning Bayern hold all the leverage in any potential standoff with interested parties.

"I haven't heard anything from sources in Spain or France. But I know what Bayern think about Olise. Bayern Munich isn't considering selling Olise. They're actually looking to renew his contract and increase his salary," Matthäus added.

No transfer request from Olise

Despite suggestions from within the French camp that Olise could be tempted by a switch, the winger has not submitted a formal transfer request to Bayern Munich. The club, for its part, remains entirely confident he will continue at the Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid have reportedly been tracking Olise as a potential marquee signing, with Mbappé's influence touted as a key factor in their pursuit. Yet, with no release clause, a contract stretching to 2029, and a club determined to keep him, any move this summer appears far from realistic.
