The Atlas Lions dominated the closing stages of the match, striking twice in the final minutes to pull clear of a Haiti side that had pushed hard for what would have been a historic first World Cup point.

Haiti had battled gamely throughout and came close to earning a landmark result, but the clinical finishing of Rahimi and Yassine ultimately denied the Caribbean nation that milestone.
