Morocco Set to Seal Group C Top Spot Against Haiti in World Cup Finale

1 hour ago·2 min

World Cup 2026 Group C reaches its conclusion on Wednesday evening, with Morocco facing Haiti at Atlanta Stadium — a match that kicks off at 5pm local time (11pm UK time). Simultaneously, Brazil take on Scotland in the group's other decisive fixture.

For Haiti, the tournament is already over in terms of advancement. Their defeat to Brazil on Friday night ended any hope of reaching the knockout rounds, making this only the second World Cup campaign in the nation's history and one that ends without a single goal scored.

What Morocco need

Morocco, by contrast, arrive knowing that qualification for the last-32 is all but guaranteed. A win or draw secures a top-two finish, and even a defeat would leave the Atlas Lions in second place — provided Brazil beat Scotland.

However, topping Group C is a genuine priority. Finishing first would set up a last-32 clash against the Group F runners-up, currently Japan. To achieve that, Morocco must either better Brazil's result against Scotland, or overcome a goal difference that currently sits two goals behind the South Americans — with total goals as the next tiebreaker.

Saibari the key man

Ismael Saibari has carried Morocco's attacking threat throughout the group stage, netting both of the Atlas Lions' goals at this tournament. The PSV Eindhoven forward is expected to be central once again, with Brahim Diaz and Bilal El Khannouss tasked with providing the service.

Against Scotland on Friday, Morocco were dominant but failed to convert their superiority into the kind of goal haul that would have boosted their goal difference. With that arithmetic now firmly in mind, expect a more clinical and purposeful attacking display in Atlanta.

Haiti's slim hopes

Haiti arrive with nothing to lose and will be eager to sign off with their first goal of the competition. A positive, attack-minded Morocco should leave spaces for the minnows to exploit, and pride alone will drive them forward.

Yet even accounting for that threat, Morocco possess far too much quality to be troubled. A comfortable victory for the Atlas Lions appears the most likely outcome — one that could yet see them top Group C and march into the knockout rounds as group winners.

Score prediction: Morocco 3-1 Haiti
