Napoli have announced they will formally challenge the two-match ban handed to manager Massimiliano Allegri, which was imposed after he insulted a match official during the club's 3-3 draw with Roma.

The appeal signals the club's intent to have Allegri on the touchline as soon as possible, with the ban threatening to keep him out of the dugout for their next two fixtures.
