Nehemiah Oriola Signs Three-Year Deal to Stay at Brighton

2 hours ago·1 min

Brighton and Hove Albion have tied down teenage winger Nehemiah Oriola on a new contract running until June 2029, the club confirmed on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old, who is of Nigerian descent through his father and Ghanaian descent through his mother, made his Premier League debut for Fabian Hurzeler's side in November 2024 — a milestone that capped a rapid rise through the club's ranks.

Oriola joined Brighton in 2023 from Manchester United, having previously spent time in the academies of both West Ham and United. He quickly made an impression at under-18 level before stepping up to Premier League 2 in March 2025.

His first full PL2 campaign proved outstanding: eight goals and four assists as Brighton claimed the PL2 title and also won the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens.

High hopes from the technical director

Brighton technical director Mike Cave expressed his confidence in the young winger's potential.
