Newcastle United are on the verge of completing the signing of Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, with the clubs finalising a deal worth in the region of £55m.

The 21-year-old Belgium international caught the eye across 29 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring eight goals for Lille. He also represented Belgium at the FIFA World Cup 2026, earning five caps at senior level.

Final details are still being ironed out, but confidence is high within both camps that the transfer will be concluded before the deadline.
