Nigeria Winger Yira Collins Sor Closing In on Amedspor Transfer
Nigerian winger Yira Collins Sor is on the verge of leaving KRC Genk for Turkish Super Lig newcomers Amedspor, with transfer negotiations between the two clubs progressing, according to TransferFeed.
Sor, 26, has one year left on his contract at Genk and is not expected to receive a new offer from the Belgian Pro League club, making a summer exit the most likely outcome.
No formal agreement has been reached yet, but talks are advancing as Amedspor push to secure the Nigerian international's signature before the transfer window closes.
Reunited with Orban at Amedspor
Should the deal go through, Sor would link up with compatriot Gift Orban at the newly promoted Turkish club. Orban joined Amedspor on a season-long loan from Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim earlier this week.
Sor arrived at Genk from Czech First Division outfit Slavia Prague in January 2023 in a transfer worth €6.5 million. However, a series of injuries derailed his time in Belgium, preventing him from nailing down a regular starting berth and consistently showing his best form.
A former Flying Eagles standout, Sor will be looking to reignite his career at Amedspor if the transfer is completed.
