Nottingham Forest Sign Liam Delap in Club-Record £50m Deal From Chelsea

Nottingham Forest have broken their own transfer record by securing striker Liam Delap from Chelsea in a deal worth up to £50m, with the move representing a profit of as much as £20m for the selling club.

Chelsea had acquired the 23-year-old for £30m from Ipswich Town just last summer. After 47 appearances at Stamford Bridge — in which Delap managed only three goals — the Blues have moved him on for a base fee of at least £45m, rising to £50m through add-ons.

A fresh start at the City Ground

Delap has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the City Ground, expressing enthusiasm about linking up with his new manager.
