1 hour ago·1 min

Nigeria Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has made his position clear — he is fully committed to Udinese and has no intention of looking elsewhere, regardless of the transfer rumours that have surrounded him.

Despite reported interest from clubs of the calibre of Juventus and Inter Milan, Okoye insists his mind is fixed on Udinese Calcio, where he has established himself as the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper.

Strong start between the posts

Okoye backed up his words with a commanding display in Udinese's Coppa Italia opener, keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Padova. The performance underlined his importance to the squad ahead of a demanding campaign.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper has spoken openly about feeling settled and appreciated in Italy, and says his priority is to push Udinese as high up the table as possible.

His own words

Speaking to Tuttoudinese, Okoye left no room for ambiguity about his intentions for the season ahead.
