Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh believes Morocco had the quality to defeat Brazil by a three-goal margin — if only they had a striker of Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman's calibre in their ranks.
Oliseh shared the assessment on his X account following Morocco's 1-1 draw with Brazil in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Saturday. The result left both sides level in the standings, with Morocco showing enough to impress even the sharpest of critics.
Morocco drew first blood through Ismael Saibari in the 21st minute. The midfielder latched on to a through ball from Brahim Diaz and coolly lobbed Alisson to put the Atlas Lions ahead. Brazil, however, restored parity in the 32nd minute when Vinicius Junior crashed a volley into the far corner in emphatic fashion.
Oliseh's verdict on Morocco
The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner was full of admiration for Morocco's structure and discipline on both sides of the ball. He praised the Atlas Lions for their tactical maturity against one of the tournament's heavyweights.
