Oliver Glasner Appointed Nottingham Forest Head Coach

1 hour ago·1 min

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Oliver Glasner as their new head coach, making the Austrian the fifth manager to take charge at the City Ground in just 12 months.

Glasner arrives following the dismissal of Vitor Pereira, whose departure raised eyebrows across English football after he guided Forest to Premier League safety and a Europa League semi-final appearance — where they were eliminated by eventual champions Aston Villa.

A trophy-laden CV

The 51-year-old brings an impressive record of silverware to Nottingham. At Crystal Palace, he delivered back-to-back major trophies: an FA Cup victory followed by the Europa Conference League title last season, where the Eagles defeated Rayo Vallecano 1-0 in the final.

Before his time in south London, Glasner made history by steering Eintracht Frankfurt to the 2021-22 Europa League title — the club's first major European honour in over four decades.
