Onuachu's Brace Fires Trabzonspor to Record 10th Turkish Cup Title

Paul Onuachu delivered a match-winning performance as Trabzonspor claimed the Turkish Cup for a record 10th time, defeating Konyaspor 2-1 in Friday's final.
The Nigeria international scored both goals in what proved a hard-fought victory, earning the Man of the Match award for his efforts. Fellow Nigerian Chibuike Nwaiwu also featured for Trabzonspor, while veteran Anthony Nwakaeme came on as an unused substitute.
How the final unfolded
Trabzonspor made a confident start when Onuachu finished from close range in the 17' after connecting with a cross from Wagner Pina, giving Fatih Tekke's side a deserved lead.
Konyaspor drew level early in the second half through Congolese striker Jackson Muleka, and the tie swung further in their favour when Enis Bardhi stepped up to take a penalty in the 58' — only to strike the post, keeping the scores level.
Trabzonspor were awarded their own penalty for handball with 11 minutes remaining, and Onuachu stepped forward to convert coolly, sealing the cup for the Black Sea Storm.
Third time lucky for Trabzonspor
The victory ended a painful run of two consecutive final defeats for the club, making the triumph all the more meaningful for players and supporters alike.
