Rangers are on the brink of securing a loan deal for Atalanta and England international defender Ben Godfrey, 27, after the centre-back passed a medical at the club. The agreement includes an option to buy, according to Rangers Review.

Defensive reshaping at Ibrox

Even as Rangers pursue Godfrey, one of their current defenders could be heading for the exit. Emmanuel Fernandez, 24, has emerged on a shortlist of targets for French side Rennes, per the Daily Record.

In midfield, Real Betis believe they can prise Nicolas Raskin away from Rangers for a fee below £20 million, the Glasgow Times reports — a figure that may test the Scottish club's resolve to keep one of their key players.

Rangers are also addressing their goalkeeping department, holding talks with Hull City over a move for Ivor Pandur. Manchester United's Radek Vitek has been identified as an alternative option, according to Sky Sports.

Hearts' Devlin attracting MLS interest

Out-of-contract Hearts midfielder Cammy Devlin is generating significant attention across the Atlantic. Real Salt Lake lead the pursuit, with Chicago Fire and Seattle Sounders also monitoring the situation. Despite the interest from MLS clubs, Hearts have put an offer on the table for Devlin to remain at Tynecastle.

Celtic's transfer activity

Celtic face competition in their bid to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Cole Campbell, valued at around £6 million. Newly-promoted Bundesliga club Elversberg have entered the race for the 20-year-old, according to the Glasgow Times.

Meanwhile, Celtic have set a new club-record asking price for Belgian midfielder Arne Engels, with Roma the latest team to be linked with a move for the player, as reported by Football Italia via The National.

Celtic's pursuit of Kelechi Iheanacho may also be at an end. Turkish clubs have submitted offers to the striker following the expiry of the option to extend his stay at the club, per AllNigeriaSoccer.com.

Other Scottish football moves

Veteran midfielder Mark O'Hara, 30, has turned down a one-year renewal offer from St Mirren and signed a two-year deal with Kilmarnock, the club where he previously played. St Mirren, meanwhile, are exploring a potential reunion with Dylan Reid, 21, who departed Paisley for Crystal Palace back in 2023, according to the Daily Record.
