Rangers have bolstered their defensive options by securing England defender Ben Godfrey on a season-long loan from Atalanta, with an option to make the transfer permanent next summer.
Sky Sports News reported on Sunday that the 28-year-old had passed his medical at the club ahead of the announcement. Godfrey becomes Rangers' third summer recruit, following the arrivals of Lawrence Shankland and Ross McCrorie.
Godfrey joined Atalanta from Everton in the summer of 2024, but has spent time away from the Serie A side on loan spells at Ipswich, Sheffield United, and Brondby.
