Rangers have completed the signing of midfielder Vanja Dragojevic from Partizan Belgrade on an initial four-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months, for a fee in excess of £4 million.

The 20-year-old becomes the Ibrox side's seventh arrival of the summer as manager Derek McInnes continues to reshape the squad in preparation for the new Scottish Premiership campaign.

A captain arrives at Ibrox

Dragojevic was not simply a squad player at Partizan Belgrade — he served as club captain and earned a reputation as one of the finest defensive midfielders in the Serbian top flight. He has also earned two senior international caps for his national team.

He joins fellow midfielders Cammy Devlin and Dan Neil at the club, making him the third player recruited in that position this summer. The other summer additions include Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, Ben Godfrey, and Ivor Pandur.

Rangers had held discussions over a potential move for Tromso's Jens Hjertø-Dahl, but ultimately opted to prioritise the deal for Dragojevic.
