Rangers have completed the signing of Serbian right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic from Aston Villa, bringing the 20-year-old to Ibrox on a season-long loan. The deal includes a £4m obligation to buy, which activates depending on the number of appearances he makes.

Sky Sports News understands that Rangers beat off competition from several other clubs in the race for Nedeljkovic. The defender's decision was influenced by direct talks with manager Derek McInnes, as well as a conversation with his Serbia international team-mate Vanja Dragojevic, who had already joined Rangers earlier this summer.

Nedeljkovic's background

Nedeljkovic first moved to England in January 2024, joining Aston Villa from Red Star Belgrade. He made 10 appearances for Villa during his time at the club, having also spent a season and a half on loan at RB Leipzig in Germany.
