Real Madrid have taken the rare step of releasing an official statement on their website to categorically deny any interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, amid swirling transfer speculation surrounding the Argentina international.
Fernandez, who joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2023 for a fee of £107 million, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Spanish capital. Neither he nor his representatives moved swiftly to shut down those reports, and Chelsea went as far as handing him a two-game suspension after he publicly expressed a desire to move to Madrid while away on international duty.
