Everton claimed all three points on the road on Monday evening, defeating Newcastle United 1-0 in the Premier League thanks to a decisive strike from Sam Barry.

The lone goal was enough to separate the two sides, as Everton's defence held firm throughout to secure a clean sheet and a hard-earned away win.

Newcastle struggled to make a meaningful impact in the final third, finding little space against a resolute Everton backline that denied them any real opportunity to level.

The result is a welcome boost for Everton, who travel back to Merseyside with a vital three points from St. James' Park.
