Nigerian winger Sani Suleiman has sealed a transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah, ending a frustrating chapter at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig without making a single competitive appearance.

The 20-year-old joins a squad managed by Brendan Rodgers, looking to rediscover his best form in Saudi Arabia after injury issues derailed his time in Germany.

Fitness troubles halted Leipzig career

Suleiman arrived at RB Leipzig in January 2026, having crossed over from Slovakian outfit AS Trenčín. However, persistent fitness problems denied him any opportunity to feature for the first team, and his stint ended without a competitive minute on the pitch.

Prior to his move to Germany, the winger had built his reputation steadily. He first made his name at Akwa United in the Nigeria National League before earning a transfer to AS Trenčín in 2024. In Slovakia, he delivered consistent performances, netting five goals across 34 league appearances.

Flying Eagles experience and fresh start

Suleiman also represented Nigeria at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup as part of the Flying Eagles squad, underlining the faith the national setup had placed in him as a prospect.

Now, with his move to Al-Qadsiah confirmed, the young winger has an opportunity to rebuild his career and return to the form that first attracted top European interest.
