Manchester City winger Savinho has indicated he is willing to leave the club, with Tottenham emerging as his most likely destination in the current transfer window.

The 22-year-old Brazil international is understood to be keen on a move to London, and steps toward a potential transfer are already under way. Tottenham head coach Roberto de Zerbi has identified Savinho as a priority target, and City are aware of the significant interest from Spurs.

Previous interest and contract extension

This is not the first time Tottenham have come calling. The north London club held talks over signing Savinho last summer, only to be rebuffed by City, who had no intention of selling at that point.

Savinho subsequently signed a two-year contract extension in October, tying him to City until 2031. Despite that commitment, the winger now appears eager to seek a new challenge.

A productive but fading role at City

Savinho arrived at the Etihad from sister club Troyes for £30.8 million in July 2024, following a loan spell at Spanish side Girona the season prior. He made an immediate impression under manager Pep Guardiola, scoring three goals in 48 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign.

However, his involvement diminished in what proved to be Guardiola's final season in charge, with Savinho featuring in just 36 matches across all competitions. Competition for his preferred right-flank position intensified as the season progressed — Rayan Cherki, who joined from Lyon last summer, and January arrival Antoine Semenyo, signed from Bournemouth, both pushed for minutes on the right-hand side.

With City's squad depth working against him, a move away from the Etihad appears increasingly attractive to the young Brazilian.
