Tottenham Hotspur are still waiting for their first goal and first Premier League victory of the season after a goalless draw at home against Everton left both sides with little to celebrate.

Solanke toils on return to starting eleven

Dominic Solanke made his first Premier League start of the campaign but looked short of sharpness throughout, earning a rating of just 4. Branthwaite the standout for Everton

Brennan Johnson endured a difficult afternoon against his former club, rated just 4. His final touch summed up Everton's toothless display — missing a clear opening late on. Harrison Armstrong worked tirelessly in midfield but it was one of his quieter afternoons in terms of creative output.

Jack Grealish came on as a substitute in the 65th minute but was unable to impose himself on a match that had long since settled into a stalemate. With Tottenham still scoreless through their opening fixtures, pressure on the attacking unit is already building.
