Strasbourg have completed the signing of centre forward Jacobo Ortega from the Real Madrid academy in a deal described as a record transfer for the French club's youth recruitment.

The French side then moved quickly to recoup their outlay, selling the contracts of two players to Ipswich for a combined fee that amounted to more than five times what they paid for Ortega.
