FIFA have confirmed the full line-up for the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2026, with Hollywood star Tom Cruise set to headline the pre-final spectacle at MetLife Stadium.

The ceremony begins 90 minutes before the final's 8pm UK kick-off and is designed to celebrate what FIFA describe as the 48 teams' unforgettable journey through the tournament — the first edition to feature the expanded format, spanning the United States, Mexico, and Canada across a record 104 matches.

Who is performing?

Cruise will make a special appearance at the event, continuing a run of high-profile sporting ceremonies after he famously abseiled from the roof of the Stade de France to close the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Joining him are singer-songwriters Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, and Laura Pausini. Williams is no stranger to this stage — he opened the 2018 World Cup in Russia and headlined the closing ceremony of FIFA's revamped Club World Cup in 2025, alongside Pausini.

YouTuber Darren Watkins, widely known as IShowSpeed, also features on the billing, bringing a digital-native audience to the occasion. Grammy-winning vocalist Jennifer Hudson is set to perform the United States' national anthem as part of the ceremony.

The half-time show that follows, staged inside MetLife Stadium, promises further star power with Madonna, Justin Bieber, BTS, and Shakira among those performing during the interval.

Who is producing the ceremony?

Milan-based production company Balich Wonder Studio is behind the event, having overseen all three of the tournament's opening ceremonies held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The studio also produced the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as well as pre-match shows for Euro 2024, the UEFA Champions League final, and the Africa Cup of Nations.
