Tottenham Hotspur Agree £100m Deal for Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Newcastle United to sign midfielder Sandro Tonali in a deal worth up to £100m, smashing their transfer record for the second time in a single week.
Spurs had an earlier offer of approximately £80m turned away by Newcastle, but the two clubs have now settled on an initial fee of £92.5m with a further £7.5m available in add-ons.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi has long held an admiration for Tonali, having first identified the Italian as a target during his tenure at Sassuolo, when Tonali was making his name in Serie A.
The agreement follows Spurs' £85m deal with West Ham United for midfielder Mateus Fernandes, confirmed earlier this week — making Tonali the second headline signing of a remarkable transfer window for the north London club.
