Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he will honour his contract and guide England through to Euro 2028, even after their painful FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final exit at the hands of Argentina.
England appeared to be heading for their first World Cup final since 1966 when Anthony Gordon gave them the lead in Atlanta — but Argentina mounted a stunning comeback, scoring twice in seven minutes through Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez to seal a 2-1 victory and shatter English dreams.
Tuchel, who was appointed England head coach in January 2025, had already extended his original deal earlier this year to cover Euro 2028, which will be co-hosted by England, Wales, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland.
