Guglielmo Vicario, the goalkeeper Tottenham Hotspur sold to Juventus this summer, has spoken candidly about internal divisions inside the dressing room during last season's near-catastrophic Premier League campaign.
The 29-year-old Italian joined Tottenham from Empoli in 2023 and made 81 appearances across all competitions during his three seasons at the club, establishing himself as the undisputed first choice between the posts. Yet no individual form could paper over the cracks of a deeply troubled collective. Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League in 2025/26, escaping relegation to the Championship by a desperately slim margin.

Vicario did not hold back when asked about the atmosphere within the squad, admitting to Sky Italia that the group was never truly united.
