Watford have agreed to sell midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru to Greek Super League club Aris, with the two sides settling on a transfer fee of £425,000 for the 26-year-old.

Dele-Bashiru is set to travel to Greece on Sunday ahead of a medical examination scheduled for Monday. He has already agreed personal terms in principle and will sign a three-year contract with Aris once all formalities are concluded.

A move following a difficult loan spell

The Nigeria international spent last season on loan at Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi, making 28 league appearances without scoring a goal or providing an assist.

Dele-Bashiru joined Watford from Manchester City back in 2019 and went on to make 71 league appearances for the Hornets, netting six goals across his time at the club.

Although he represented England at U-16 level, Dele-Bashiru later declared for Nigeria, featuring at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
