3SC Handed ₦10,000 Per-Goal Bonus Ahead of CAF Confederation Cup Clash With CS Sfaxien

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have been given a ₦10,000 bonus for every goal they score when they host Tunisian club CS Sfaxien in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary-round tie on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

The incentive comes from Comrade Isaac Olawale Ifadare Ayangbile, Vice Chairman of the Oyo State Football Association, who pledged the reward to fire up the Oluyole Warriors ahead of a 4:00 p.m. kick-off.

"Every goal counts. One goal in favour of Shooting Stars attracts ₦10,000," Ayangbile declared.

Ayangbile said the gesture is designed to encourage the players to chase the scoreline and return from the first leg with a commanding advantage before the return fixture in Tunis the following week.

A long-awaited return to African football

The Ibadan-based club last appeared in CAF competition back in 1999, when they featured in the CAF Champions League group stage. Placed in Group A alongside Raja Club Athletic of Morocco, Al Ahly SC of Egypt, and Accra Hearts of Oak S.C. of Ghana, Shooting Stars finished bottom of the table with four points and were eliminated. Raja Club Athletic and Al Ahly advanced from the group to the knockout phase.

Twenty-seven years on, Shooting Stars are back on the continental stage — and this time, the Oyo State FA vice chairman's financial boost adds extra motivation as they look to make an immediate impression against CS Sfaxien and lay the groundwork for progression.
